Convicts Allegedly Wrongly Arrested in Vina Case Demand Restoration of Good Name

Jakarta, Hilton News

Saka Tatal, a Cirebon resident who was the victim of a wrongful arrest, demanded a cleanse of his good name. Saka is accused of involvement in Vina’s murder, asserting that he was at home with his family and friends at the time of the murder. He also said he had a strong alibi supported by witnesses.

“It was on the night of the incident that I was at home, there were witnesses as well as me, there was my brother there was my uncle and his friends my brother. I was at home before Maghreb until 10 p.m. I was at home. At less than 11 o’clock, I moved to deliver my friend the bike was broken, the radiator was leaking. Immediately my friend asked for anterin to the workshop. Before leaving for the workshop, also by overpass. Before going there was housing, from afar there were also police. That’s usually where there are raids,” said Saka when interviewed by HNIndonesia TV, Monday (20/5).

Saka and his friends, who were not wearing helmets at the time, decided to make a U-turn when they saw a police raid.

“I thought I was with my friends, it was a raid. You see, every Sunday night there are also many raids too. While I am with my friends, I don’t wear a helmet at all. So I made a U-turn, but it was halved. The goal is one to the workshop,” he continued.

At this time, Saka hopes that the truth will be revealed and his good name can be restored. He longed for a normal life as before.

I want yes, if I personally have a good name, I am clean again, rich again and can live a normal life like before,” hoped Saka.

Titin Prialianti, Saka’s lawyer, expressed disappointment that the case did not receive enough attention in 2016 or 2017.

“I have made various efforts there, but it didn’t work, if only this went viral at that time, there would be no way that there would be a child who after 8 years could only tell stories now,” said Titin.

Titin also highlighted that Saka’s arrest and trial process was full of irregularities.

“We have opened this from 2016, this was a wrong arrest, this is an incorrect procedure, this is a witness statement, this is incorrect trial evidence, I have exposed it in 2016 and 2017. But it didn’t come to fruition. It’s a 15-year-old, I’m also a bit confused it’s reconstructing,” Titin continued.

Previously, the murder case against Vina and her lover, Muhammad Risky Rudiana alias Eki in Cirebon, West Java in 2016 still remained a mystery.

Because, three of the 11 perpetrators until now have not been caught by the authorities. The three include Pegi aka Perong, Andi and Dani.

This case was again highlighted after the film Vina: Before 7 Days, was released in theaters. The film tries to recreate the incident experienced by the lovebirds.
