Farmer Cheated of IDR 598 Million to Make Child a Policewoman, 1 Police Questioned

Polda Metro Jaya opened its voice about a fraudcase against a farmer from Subang, West Java who had spent Rp598 million so that his son was accepted as a policewoman in 2016.

Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said there were three people, including one of them an active police member, involved in the case.

“There are three yes (perpetrators), one is not a member of the National Police because he has been fired for a long time since 2004 with drug cases on behalf of the US. Then there are two policewomen, one has been fired in 2017 because of this, and one is still in the process of the code of ethics,” Ade Ary told reporters on Tuesday (21/5).

Ade Ary confirmed that the three perpetrators were not part of the admissions committee. However, all three of them claim that they can help someone to pass the admission selection.

“The three are not admissions committees, the old mode is not claiming to be able to help,” he said.

Ade Ary conveyed that his party is currently investigating alleged criminal acts related to the case. He said the police would investigate the case thoroughly.

“Based on the events that occurred, a deepening will be carried out, both criminal proceedings against the reports received,” he said.

Ade Ary also said that his party would give strict sanctions if it was proven that there were members involved in the alleged fraud case.

Furthermore, Ade Ary also asked the public not to believe if there are parties who promise to provide assistance to pass the selection for the admission of members of the National Police.

“I appeal to the public, do not believe if anyone claims to be able to pass your child in the Police Recruitment by fraudulent means. We do not charge fees to participants aka free. That this education and appeal must continue to be conveyed so that no more people become victims,” he concluded.
