The murder case against Vina and her boyfriend, Muhammad Risky Rudiana alias Eki in Cirebon, West Java, entered a new chapter after one of the three suspects who had been on the run for eight years, Pegi Setiawan alias Perong was caught by police.
Perong was arrested by police on Tuesday (21/5) night by officers from the West Java Regional Police in Bandung. On the same day, Hotman’s famous lawyer Paris Hutapea released a video on his personal Instagram account, @hotmanparisofficial, releasing the results of research from his law firm including the minutes of the examination (BAP) about the Vina Cirebon case.
Based on the BAP of the perpetrators and the results of Vina’s autopsy, Hotman in his video confirmed that the death of Vina and her lover was not caused by a single accident.
“The deceased Vina who raped was Eko. When raping the deceased was a virgin. This is according to BAP. Then Supriyanto, Eka, Jaya, Hadi Saputra. And the DPOs who participated in the rape were Pegi alias Perong and Dani,” Hotman said.
“Regarding this guy’s accusation, it was a pure accident. This is the result of an autopsy. In the victim’s genitals sperm is found. And the injuries on his body are definitely not accidents.”
On this basis, he asked West Java Regional Police investigators to take legal action against parties who obstructed the investigation process of Vina’s case. Moreover, for those who consider Vina’s case just a single accident.
“The person who tried to obstruct the investigation to find the three DPO perpetrators, who said this was a single accident on the road. Please immediately process the criminal of these individuals. Because if you read this BAP brightly there is no engineering,” he said.
Still based on BAP, Hotman also found that there were 11 motorized groups who pursued Vina and her lover. After Vina and Eki were arrested, the perpetrators then raped Vina in turn.
“He even said ‘when I raped him I didn’t have time to get his sperm out and change it with another colleague’. This is obviously All BAP is almost the same. If there are people who say this is a road accident so that they are processed criminally by investigators. This is all clearly outlined here,” he said.
West Java Regional Police said the party continued to pursue the three perpetrators of Vina’s murder who had been on the wanted list (DPO).
Now, that pursuit has paid off. The police managed to arrest one of the DPOs named Pegi Setiawan alias Perong.
“It has been arrested, in the name of Pegi Setiawan,” said Director of Reskrikum Polda West Java, Kombes Surawan, Wednesday (22/5).
Surawan said Pegi was arrested in the Bandung area on Tuesday (21/5) morning. However, he has not revealed the chronology of the arrest of Pegi.
“Arrested in Bandung,” he said.
Thus, there are two other perpetrators who are still being pursued by the authorities. The two are Andi and Dani.
