President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the construction of the National Defense Center Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Sudirman is the right step in the development of industry which is believed to have an impact on the national economy.
This was said by Jokowi at the inauguration of RSPPN in Bintaro, Jakarta on Monday (19/2). At that time, Jokowi, accompanied by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, also toured various facilities. According to him, the existing facilities are so modern. Moreover, TNI hospitals have an average Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 70 percent.
“I also received reports that the construction of all TNI hospitals, the TKDN averaged 70 percent. This is also a very good step for the industry, and to accelerate and support the recovery of our national economy,” Jokowi said.
The President hopes that RSPPN in the future can become a referral hospital, teaching hospital, and disaster response hospital.
Similarly, Prabowo is optimistic that RSPPN can benefit TNI soldiers and the community.
“RSPPN consists of 28 floors with a building height of 125 meters, a building area of 62 square meters on 2.2 hectares of land. RSPPN is expected to meet the needs as a referral hospital for TNI soldiers and their families, as well as benefit the wider community,” said Prabowo.
The construction of this hospital is also in line with the requirements as a referral hospital integrated with the Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS). Through this integration, RSPPN can provide affordable and quality health services for all levels of society.
