Pegi Was Fugitive for 8 Years, Hotman Asks Family to Be Examined in Vina’s Case

Jakarta, Hilton News

Hotman Paris Hutapea’s lawyer asked the entire family of Pegi Setiawan alias Perong, one of the fugitives of Vina’s murder in Cirebon who was recently arrested, to be investigated by the police for allegedly hiding the perpetrators of the crime.

“One of these people begs all his family to be examined whether they have been involved in or involved in obstruction of justice. Hide the perpetrators,” Hotman said on his personal Instagram @hotmanparisofficial.

Hotman explained that those who hide perpetrators of crimes can be subject to obstruction of justice. If proven, then the Perong family can be convicted.

“Because it could be a criminal target. His family can be punished if proven to have hidden this perpetrator all this time,” he said.

On the other hand, Hotman thanked the West Java Regional Police for arresting Perong who had been on the run for eight years. Now, there are only two fugitives who have not been caught by the police in the Vina murder case in Cirebon, namely Andi and Dani.

“Thank you West Java Police, one DPO has been caught by West Java Police. Only one in three. Thanks. Hopefully the other two can be,” Hotman said.

The case of Vina’s murder in Cirebon, West Java eight years ago resurfaced to the public after her case was brought to the big screen.

After the film went viral and became a public conversation, the police confirmed that the case was still not closed. The authorities also admitted that they were still pursuing other perpetrators who were on the wanted list (DPO).

In this case, the perpetrators who have been arrested are Jaya, Supriyanto, Eka Sandi, Hadi Saputra, Eko Ramadhani, Sudirman, Rivaldi Aditya Wardana, and Saka Tatal.
