The police will call the Indonesia Flying Club to investigate the incident of a plane crash that killed three people at Sunburst Field, BSD City, South Tangerang, last Sunday (19/5).
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said this call was made to explore the route of the ill-fated plane.
“Yes, of course the aircraft has an owner, whether it is a legal entity or an individual, we continue to explore it to be clarified, explain the process of the aircraft taking off, landing where, which route, purpose and destination, and so on,” Ade Ary told reporters on Tuesday (21/5).
Currently, the South Tangerang Regional Police together with related parties, including the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) are still deepening.
Ade Ary said a number of parties would also be questioned to assist the investigation process related to the incident.
“Who this plane belongs to, the shift of this plane from where to where it finally crashed. Witnesses at the crime scene, what was seen and so on are being deepened by the Tangsel Regional Police,” he said.
“Please take time, deepening is still being carried out, examination or clarification of witnesses,” he added.
The TecnamP2006T aircraft with registration number PK-IFP belonging to Indonesia Flying Club crashed at Sunburst Field, BSD City, Serpong, South Tangerang, last Sunday (19/5).
As a result, three people on board died. The three are pilot Capt Pulu Darmawan, co-pilot Capt Suanda, and technician Capt Farid Ahmad.
Basarnas DKI Jakarta said the training plane had lost contact before crashing in the BSD area. Head of Operation Section (Kasiop) Basarnas DKI Jakarta Agung Priambodo said the last communication was around 14.43 WIB.
Meanwhile, South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Ibnu Bagus Santoso said the pilot of the plane had sent an emergency signal before it crashed. However, after that the plane lost contact.
