Jakarta, Hilton News –
Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto emphasized that health facilities in the form of CT scans and PET scans must exist in every district of Indonesia.
This was Prabowo’s response to budget priorities as well as promotive and preventive programs for health that were raised at the last presidential debate in Jakarta, Sunday (4/2).
“There is no adequate (medical) equipment. CT scans, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans are rare in the district. We must overcome this, and we can overcome this,” Prabowo said on Sunday (4/2).
The next step that Indonesia also needs to overcome health problems, Prabowo said, is to increase the number of doctors, especially specialists,
According to him, many Indonesian districts do not have specialists, including for heart disease and stroke, which are the highest causes of death in the country in 2023.
“Imagine if someone has a stroke and a heart disease, the two biggest causes of death in some districts are no heart or stroke specialists,” he said.
Related to health, Prabowo again stated that nutritious food for children and mothers, including pregnant women and new mothers can be a preventive step for various health problems in the future.
“This nutritious eating increases endurance, immunity, prevents disease. This is strategic,” Prabowo said.
