Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto held a thanksgiving with his family at the residence Jl. Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Wednesday (28/2) after receiving the 4-star general award from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Prabowo was present wearing Army ceremonial service attire (PDU), complete with a 4-star sign on the shoulders.
Prabowo cut a tumpeng of gratitude, then gave it to Sukartini Silitonga-Djojohadikusumo, the younger brother of his father, Soemitro Djojohadikusumo. He also gave sungkem to Tante Tin, Prabowo’s nickname for 105-year-old Sukartini.
On Thursday (29/2) morning, Prabowo received the 4-star general award from Jokowi at TNI Headquarters, Jakarta, which is in line with Presidential Decree Number 13/TNI/Year 2024 dated February 21, 2024 and
Law No. 20 of 2009. In the Law, there are arrangements for the appointment or promotion of special ranks.
“This award is a form of appreciation as well as affirmation to serve fully to the people, to the nation and to the country. I congratulate Mr. General Prabowo Subianto,” Jokowi said.
Previously, in 2022 Prabowo had received four honorary marks of the main military stars, namely the Yudha Dharma Utama Star, the Kartika Eka Paksi Utama Star, the Jalasena Utama Star, and the Swa Bhuwana Paksa Utama Star.
