President-elect Prabowo Subianto says he still respects the ongoing Constitutional Court (MK) trial process even though the General Elections Commission (KPU) has officially won him along with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Together with Gibran, Prabowo will wait for the results of the Constitutional Court hearing. This was conveyed by Prabowo attending the Nuzulul Qur’an and Iftar with the Golkar Party at the Golkar DPP, Jakarta, Friday (29/3).
“Although we also still respect the processes that have been carried out and wait for the final results from the Constitutional Court, I have continuously carried out brainstorming discussions, gathering information, collecting data, and carrying out the best preparations,” Prabowo explained.
Prabowo also said he was grateful to be part of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). Because, from the beginning the coalition was formed with full confidence. Not based on doubt.
“We are grateful that we are not hesitant, not timid, not mencla-mencle. We were firm from the beginning saying we were Mr. Jokowi’s team,” he said.
Prabowo on that occasion expressed his gratitude to the Golkar Party for fighting together in the 2024 presidential election.
“Brothers and sisters from the Golkar Party, thank you for the opportunity for me to convey the hard work of the Golkar Party for the elections that we have just held together in 2024,” Prabowo said.
Besides Prabowo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka was also present at this event. Their arrival was welcomed directly by Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto.
Also present at the event were Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, senior Golkar Party politician Akbar Tanjung, Chairman of the Golkar Party Expert Council Agung Laksono, and Golkar Party DPP Management.
