Suhartoyo Will Order Officers to Expel Visitors to the Mobile Phone Trial

Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Suhartoyo asked visitors to the pronunciation of the verdict/decree of the general election result dispute (PHPU) or the 2024 Pileg dispute not to play cellphones.

The moment occurred after Suhartoyo read out the verdict 107-01-14-28/PHPU. DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 in a session pronouncing the verdict/decree in the Plenary Session Room of the Constitutional Court, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/5).

“Before proceeding, please pay attention so that anyone does not play using mobile phones, because to be solemn in this trial and respect this forum,” Suhartoyo said.

“Later, if someone is still playing cellphones, we will order officers to get out of this room,” Suhartoyo said.

Furthermore, Constitutional Judge Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh continued reading the judgment number 176-02-02-10/PHPU. DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024.

The

Constitutional Court held a hearing on the pronunciation of rulings/decrees on 207 cases of Pileg disputes on May 21-22.

As for Wednesday (22/5) today, the Constitutional Court is scheduled to read the verdicts/decrees for 52 cases.

In total, there were 297 cases of Pileg disputes, both the Legislative Elections of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, the Provincial DPRD, to the District/City DPRD which were registered with the Constitutional Court.

Therefore, after this pronunciation/decree hearing, there will be at least 90 cases that will proceed to the evidentiary hearing stage.
