Police have given a speeding ticket to the mother of TikTokers Zoe Levana after her actions in breaking into the bus lane or busway at the Pluit bus stop, North Jakarta.
Kasat Lantas North Jakarta Metro Police Kompol Edy Purwanto said the incident occurred on Sunday (19/5) at around 13.00 WIB.
Edy explained that after the video went viral, his party immediately confirmed by phone to Lilyana Pang, Zoe’s mother as the driver of the vehicle.
After confirming by phone, Lilyana and Zoe then came to the North Jakarta Metro Police Station on Wednesday (22/5) today.
“From the results of the clarification/interview to the person concerned, the following information was obtained that it is true that the person in the video that is going viral on TikTok social media @zoecrewet entering the busway lane is sister Zoe Levana Angga using a vehicle nopol B 2851 UIQ, driven by sister Lilyana Pang (the biological mother of sister Zoe),” Edy said when confirmed.
Based on the clarification, Edy said, they admitted to breaking through the busway because they were confused when they were going back to the left lane.
“The person concerned entered the busway lane because the person concerned was confused when he wanted to return to the left lane, when he wanted to move to the left lane suddenly there was a busway vehicle from behind and then the vehicle concerned entered the busway lane,” said Edy.
For that incident, the police also sanctioned a speeding ticket as stipulated in Article 287 paragraph 1 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
“Sentenced to a maximum of 2 months imprisonment or a maximum fine of Rp500 thousand,” said Edy.
Zoe’s video went viral on social media as it showed her car ‘stuck’ or stuck on the Busway. This car was stuck in the busway lane when it was driven by his mother.
In the video uploaded by Zoe, the car can be seen stuck in the lane because it is squeezed between TransJakarta buses that are queuing to the bus stop. The car cannot go off the track because it is limited by concrete barriers.
“Guys, I’m stuck. Let’s try to go down, what does it mean. See, we accidentally went to the busway lane because mama entered the wrong busway lane because mama drove wrong. In front there is a bus and he doesn’t walk from earlier, in the back there is also a bus so we stuck, and we are here here (separator) so we can’t walk guys,” Zoe said in the video.
“And you know, it’s all the way forward, and it’s really full, there’s a lot. It’s impossible to walk. It’s really hot again,” he continued.
Zoe’s video received many responses from netizens, including taking issue with why the car was able to enter busway 3.
