Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the inauguration of the State Defense Center Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Sudirman and 25 TNI hospitals in Bintaro, Jakarta on Monday (19/2).
RSPPN Panglima Besar Sudirman has 28 floors, with various facilities that make it the largest TNI Hospital in Indonesia today.
“RSPPN has the following facilities: 1,000-bed room, 11 operating rooms, 90-bed intensive care/ICU/ICCU/NICU/PICU rooms, and 55-bed emergency room. So, (RSPPN) will become the largest hospital of the TNI,” Prabowo said.
According to Prabowo, in 2023, 5 TNI hospitals have been inaugurated. The 25 TNI hospitals that were inaugurated simultaneously on this occasion consisted of 11 Army hospitals in Pangkalpinang, Padang, Aceh, Atambua, Bima, Gorontalo, Mamuju, Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, Manokwari and Sorong.
Then, 3 Navy hospitals in Pontianak, Padang, and Sorong, and 6 Air Force hospitals in Solo, Malang, Madiun, Subang, Bandung and Pekanbaru.
Prabowo hopes that the presence of dozens of hospitals can benefit TNI soldiers, TNI families, and the community.
When giving his speech, Jokowi expressed his appreciation for the initiation of the Ministry of Defense to build dozens of hospitals. He emphasized that complete health facilities are absolutely needed by the community, including hospitals with adequate human resources, as well as various facilities to overcome various emergency conditions.
Jokowi considered the facilities available at RSPPN Panglima Besar Sudirman as super modern. One of them, MRI which has the highest specifications today.
“Earlier, I saw in some rooms and equipment that there was really very, super modern equipment. A CT scan can also see from all angles we want. The operating room is also modular which is integrated and very sophisticated,” Jokowi said.
