Hashim claimed that all the content in the subject matter of the complaint was not in accordance with the existing facts.

“I refute it because of what? It is indeed not in accordance with the real facts. So there are points or there are so many points of the problem that are questioned, which are accused of me, all of which I deny,” Hasyim said at the DKPP RI Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (22/5).

“It’s not just that I want to argue, because that’s not the case,” he continued.

Hashim did not disclose the subject matter of the complaint submitted by the complainant in this trial. He reasoned that all material in this closed hearing was not for public consumption.

“Therefore, it is our commitment together involved in the trial that because the trial is closed, also what happens or develops inside will not become public consumption,” he explained.

Previously, this hearing was held behind closed doors in the main courtroom of DKPP, Central Jakarta. Monitoring HNIndonesia.com at the location, this trial began at around 10:00 WIB. The trial lasted about 7 hours and ended at about 5:17 p.m.

DKPP Chairman Heddy Lugito previously said that his party also summoned a number of related parties in this session. They are KPU RI Commissioners Betty Epsilon Idroos and Deddy Mahendra Desta.

The alleged immoral acts began with a report filed by the Legal Aid Consultation Institute of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (LKBH FHUI) and LBH Apik on Thursday (18/4).

“We reported the Chairman of the KPU to the DKPP for violations of ethics, integrity and professionalism allegedly involving his actions in fostering a personal, romantic relationship with a PPLN abroad,” explained the victim’s lawyer, Aristo Pangaribu at DKPP.

Aristo explained some of the evidence attached to the report, namely evidence of conversations to photographs.

Aristo explained that Hashim made efforts to approach victims from August 2023 to March 2024. The two had met in Indonesia and abroad.

He said Hasyim tried actively to approach the PPLN officer even though he was separated by distance. Aristo said the PPLN officer decided to resign before the 2024 elections because he felt aggrieved.
