Open BO Asks for More Money

Police said the woman with the initials RJ (19) who was the victim of captivityin the apartment area of Kemayoran, Central Jakarta turned out to be a woman who was booked online or open BO.

“Yes, it is (open BO),” Central Jakarta Metro Police Vice Chief Anton Elfrino Trisanto told reporters on Monday (20/5).

In this case, the police are known to have arrested two perpetrators, namely Adi (34) and Christ (29). Both knew the victim after ordering services from the person concerned.

Anton explained that Adi first knew the victim after ordering the services concerned for the first time. At that time, the victim asked for more payment to the perpetrator so that the person concerned was disappointed. The perpetrator Adi then ordered the victim’s services again, but this time together with his friend, Christ. At that time, the victim again asked for more payment.

This then raises the intention of the two perpetrators to steal the victim’s belongings, ranging from cellphones to money.

“So the first intention was to steal, because he was disappointed, revenge then steal. Intending to steal his mobile phone and money by duct tape and tying. Then after that they took his belongings and money, ran away from the location,” Anton said.

However, at that time the victim managed to remove the duct tape that was in his mouth and screamed for help. The victim’s screams were heard by neighbors in the apartment.

As a result, the perpetrator on behalf of Adi was immediately arrested by local security in the apartment lobby. While the perpetrator Chirst had escaped, but was arrested at Gambir Station.

Now, both perpetrators have been named as suspects and detained. Both are charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code and or Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of nine years.

Previously, a woman with the initials RJ (19) was reported to be the victim of captivity in an apartment in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta, Monday (13/5).

Kemayoran Police Public Relations Officer Bripka Ricky Sihite said the case came to light after the police received a report about the alleged arrest.

“Received information that at the Mediterranean Palace Tower B Apartment, 30th Floor, Room 30, CA, there has been an arrest,” Ricky said when confirmed, Monday (20/5).

Ricky said, when found the victim was in a condition where his mouth was duct taped and his hands were tied using a rope. In addition, a number of injuries were also found on the victim’s body.

“There were (wounds) on the back of the head and lips, bruises,” he said.
