Adi (28) aka AP, a man in Surabayawho terrorized and harassedhis junior high school friend for 10 years, NRSS (27), has been named as a suspect. Adi admits his mistake and regrets it.
When questioned by investigators, Adi was wearing a blue prisoner’s shirt, his hands shackled to handcuffs. But his face was covered with glasses and a mask.
Adi said he did not intend to harass the NRSS at all. He also said he regretted doing a number of things that eventually led to terror and harassment.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry. Nyesel. I’m sorry,” Adi said when being led by investigators at the East Java Regional Police in Surabaya, Tuesday (21/5).
This man from Kebraon, Surabaya said that he did it because he loved and cherished NRSS. Even though he is now dressed as a prisoner, his feelings remain the same.
“Love, Mas. Yes, dear. Yes, happy, Mas,” he said.
During the 10 years he approached NRSS, even to the point of terror and harassment, Adi said he did not know how many times he had been rejected by the victim.
Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Directorate V Cyber Ditreskrimsus Polda Jatim AKBP Charles P Tampubolon said AP had been officially determined to be a suspect.
“Our perpetrator has been secured from May 17, 2024 on Friday, and we have carried out investigations and on May 18, 2024 was determined as a suspect,” Charles said.
Charles said, in committing his crime, Adi is said to want to get attention so that he can become a lover, and eventually be able to marry the victim.
“The suspect tried to approach the victim as the lover of the victim, so the motive was not only to get attention from the victim, but also to marry the perpetrator,” he said.
Meanwhile, Adi’s crime was to create more than 420 social media accounts that he used to send messages and terror continuously to victims.
Adi also sent photos of his penis several times and verbally abused the victim. Police also called the suspect editing the NRSS photo vulgar.
Not to mention the terror carried out by the suspect by visiting the victim’s house directly several times.
For his actions, Adi is threatened with bondage under Article 45 paragraph 1 Juncto Article 27 paragraph 1 and Article 45 letter B juncto Article 29 paragraph 1 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions.
“The penalty is six years in prison and/or a fine of IDR 1 billion,” concluded Charles.
