Jakarta, Hilton News

Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto reminded the public not to ridicule and fight each other during the 2024 general election period.

Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia is a virtuous nation.

“Let us as a virtuous nation not like to vilify others, especially our leaders,” Prabowo said in a grand campaign at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GLBA), Bandung City, Thursday (8/2).

As a form of virtuousness, Prabowo then invited the public to respect the presidents of Indonesia since the beginning of independence, from Karno, Suharto, to Joko Widodo.

The public is also reminded that Indonesia always upholds the values of harmony that prohibit mutual insults, slander, and mutual pitting.

“Brethren, our ustads, our preachers, our leaders teach not to demonize others, not to insult others, not to slander others, not to pit,” he said.

Therefore, continued Prabowo, choosing leaders who love harmony is important. For the same reason, he also expressed an apology to the other two pairs of candidates for the 2024 presidential election at the last debate some time ago.

On that occasion, Prabowo invited all elements to unite for the sake of the people and apologized for the mistakes he made with vice presidential candidate Gibran since the beginning of the 2024 presidential election.

“We invite everyone to unite. We apologize if we have something wrong, if we have something not good. We apologize profusely,” Prabowo said.
