The Indonesian Institute of Political Indicators has just released a post-election 2024 survey that found the majority of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s supporters are satisfied with President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) performance.

The Principal Researcher of the Indonesian Political Indicator, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, on the Indonesian Political Indicator YouTube account, Wednesday (28/2), revealed that 76.6 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the performance of the current president.

“This is based on the support of the vice presidential candidates, the findings are not much different based on the exit poll we released last week, Prabowo-Gibran voters from around 58 percent are almost 90.2 are those who are satisfied with Jokowi’s performance as president,” he said in a written statement on Thursday (29/2).

According to him, this provides an optimistic picture, especially amid inflationary pressures related to rising rice prices.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that 74.8 percent of Ganjar-Mahfud voters were also satisfied, while most Anies-Muhaimin voters expressed dissatisfaction.

“This again shows that positioning is important. The positions of Ganjar-Mahfud and Prabowo-Gibran supporters are both satisfied with Jokowi’s performance. And this explains why Ganjar-Mahfud’s electability was depressed quite hard, in the last election,” Burhanuddin explained.

For information, the Indicator survey activity will be carried out on February 18-21, 2024. This survey targets the Indonesian population aged 17 years and over or married and owning a telephone.

The sample was selected through the random digit dialing (RDD) method or random telephone number generation of 1,227 respondents.

The survey’s margin of error is +- 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. Interviews with respondents were conducted by telephone by trained interviewers.
