The pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates-vice presidents) Ganjar Mahfud and Mahfud MD will attend the Banyuwangi People’s Celebration at RTH Maron, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency on Thursday (8/2).
Chairman of DPD PDIP East Java (East Java), Said Abdullah said, the Banyuwangi People’s Celebration would be a grand campaign event in East Java for Ganjar-Mahfud. It is estimated that more than 50 thousand cadres of PDIP, PPP, Perindo, Hanura will attend, along with volunteers and sympathizers, including from Jember, Lumajang, Bondowoso, and Situbondo.
“Especially those who come from PDI Perjuangan cadres, structural ranks, bodies and members of the Party wing, as well as sympathizers are eager to attend,” Said said on Wednesday (7/2).
The special thing at the upcoming Banyuwangi People’s Celebration is the presence of the general chairmen of political parties supporting Ganjar-Mahfud, such as Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“God willing, Mrs. Megawati will be present at the Banyuwangi People’s Celebration with other Ganjar-Mahfud supporting political party chairmen. The presence of Ibu Mega will certainly be awaited by Banteng cadres from various regions in East Java,” continued Said.
According to him, Megawati’s direction became something to look forward to. Facing the 2024 presidential election, Megawati’s directive is believed to confirm the determination of East Java PDIP to win Ganjar-Mahfud through the highest votes.
Said emphasized that East Java PDIP is ready to break the predictions of survey agencies.
“What is clear is that we in East Java are ready to be upright according to the direction or instruction of Mrs. Ketum. Together with party cadres, supporters and volunteers, as well as other communities, they will fight as hard as they can to win the Ganjar-Mahfud pair in East Java. Sure, Ganjar-Mahfud will win thick,” said Said.
The Banyuwangi People’s Chastisement will also be enlivened by a music stage filled with, among others, Slank, Type-X, Anang Hermansyah, to Nella Kharisma and Denny Cagur.
